Richmond SPCA seeks water donations as city under water boil advisory

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- With a boil water advisory in effect across the city, the Richmond SPCA is asking for donations of bottles and jugs of water at its shelter. According to a Jan. 6 Instagram post from Richmond SPCA, as a result of the boil water advisory in the city, the shelter is in need of safe water to clean kennels and fill pet bowls. Safe water would be bottled water or water from outside of the city, as all water served by the city's reservoir system is considered not safe to drink. Additionally, the Richmond SPCA has placed large trash cans situated at the back dock.
