The convention has been celebrating trends and innovations in tattoo art and honoring artists since 1988, according to its website. Tattoo artists Jesse Smith, owner of the convention, and Ryan Ashley, a winner and judge on the TV show "Ink Master," will team up again to co-host this year's event.

There will be fun competitions, an exhibition from local artisans and live entertainment for attendees, organizers said.
