(WRIC) -- The City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities confirmed the water treatment plant that faced an initial power outage on Monday also experienced equipment failure on Tuesday. The department informed 8News that, during the water restoration process that was announced earlier today, "a piece of electrical equipment failed" on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Engineers who were on-site reportedly saw the issue and were able to resolve it, according to the department.
