RVA Illuminates set to light up Richmond Friday night
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- RVA Illuminates is tonight, Friday Dec 6, presented by the City of Richmond and 8News! The skyline will be lit up for the holidays at Kanawha Plaza, located at 801 E Canal Street, Richmond, Va., 23219. Starting at 4p.m., the craft tent will be open. There's an awesome lineup of performances from Lonnie B, AJ Jones, the Huguenot High School choir, Mervin Mayo, Desiree Roots, and the Urban Dance League. A countdown will begin at 5:59p.m. for the main event. Illuminating the city, will be at 6p.m. featuring over 80,000 lights turned on by Richmond City Mayor Levar Stoney. And if you get hungry, there will be food trucks! Keep an eye out for some familiar 8News faces. Autumn Childress, Delaney Hall and Matt Dinardo will be out and about, along with Deanna Allbrittin, Eric Philips and Madison Moore. If you can’t attend in person, you can watch live on 8News.
