Several roads closed across Prince Edward County due to weather

PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Several Prince Edward County roads crossing the Appomattox River in the area are closed on Tuesday due to flooding.
According to a post shared by the county on Tuesday, July 15, the road closures are as follows:
- First Rock Road
- Chinquapin Road
- Peeks Road

The Virginia Department o Transportation (VDOT) has placed road closed signs and put barriers up.
Prince Edward County is asking residents not to go around the barriers. Remember: "Turn around, don't drown."
