RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A "significant" amount of gasoline accidentally spilled from a vehicle on West Grace Street on Virginia Commonwealth University's (VCU) Monroe Park campus on Tuesday, prompting a VCU Alert.

Shortly before noon on Tuesday, Feb. 17, VCU Police were notified of a gasoline spill that occurred in the 800 block of W. Grace Street, according to a spokesperson for VCU Police.

Officials said a "significant" amount of gasoline was accidentally spilled onto the road by a citizen from their personal vehicle.
