Splootfest returns to Goochland to celebrate corgis
GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A "pawesome" event featuring corgis will make its way to Goochland County early next month.
The third annual Splootfest, organized by RVA Corgi Club, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Hardywood West Creek brewery, 820 Sanctuary Trail Drive. Organizers said it's a day to gather and celebrate all recognized corgi breeds — Pembroke, Cardigan and American.
There will be corgi racing, pet-related vendors, a corgi costume contest and raffle drawings. Proceeds from Splootfest will go toward benefitting the East Coast Corgi Rescue, organizers said.
The event is free and welcomes all dog breeds.
