StormTracker 8: A chilly and dry start to December

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -Chilly and dry conditions continue for the start of December with “milder” temperatures returning by the middle of the week. It is a brisk start to the day and highs won’t be warming up too much as we will stay in the low to middle 40s under mostly sunny skies. A few more clouds will move in for the evening and overnight hours as an upper-level system approaches. Overnight lows will drop into the low 20s which means many of us will see temperatures drop into the teens. Tomorrow will be another chilly day with highs staying in the low to middle 40s. Although chilly, we will see plenty of sunshine tomorrow. “Milder” weather is on tap for the middle of the week with highs back into the upper 40s to low 50s both Wednesday and Thursday. Another Alberta Clipper will pass well to the north of us bringing more snow to the northeast and gusty conditions to our area. Cooler temperatures move in again for Friday with highs back into the low 40s under mostly sunny skies. Right now, there is some discrepancy on the forecast for the weekend. One of our models shows us staying dry, while the other brings us the risk of showers. Stay tuned on the forecast as we continue to fine tune the details.
