StormTracker 8: A mild end to 2024

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) - It will be a mild end to 2024 with above average temperatures expected the next few days. It is also like a wet end to the year with a few spotty showers around tomorrow evening. Today we will see mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the low to middle 60s. Mostly clear skies continue tonight with overnight lows dropping to near 40. Tomorrow is the last day of 2024 and once again it will be mild with highs in the low to middle 60s. We will see partly sunny skies before a few spotty showers move in for the evening and early overnight hours. Have a rain jacket or umbrella if you have any NYE plans. Temperatures will be closer to seasonable to start off 2025 with highs near the middle 50s. It will also be a breezy start to the new year. Even cooler air moves in for the end of the week with highs in the middle to upper 40s under mostly sunny to partly sunny skies. Next weekend will be chilly with highs near 40 both Saturday and Sunday. We are watching a system Sunday night into Monday that could bring us a bit of a wintry mix.
