StormTracker8: Another round of scattered storms this afternoon
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – It will be another hot and humid day with the risk of scattered late day storms. The main threat will once again be localized flooding and some gusty winds.
High temperatures will top out near 90 and we will see mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies.
Scattered storms will start to pop up by early afternoon and become more scattered as we head later into the afternoon. Heavy downpours could lead to some localized flooding which is why a flood watch is in effect for counties north of I-64 and east of I-95.
Gusty winds and isolated hail are also possible with any storms that push through. Any storms taper off tonight and overnight lows drop into the middle 70s.
Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies will be with us tomorrow with highs in the low to middle 90s. A few late day isolated storms are possible tomorrow, but many of us look to stay dry.
An isolated storm or 2 is possible Monday, but I am not highly convinced of that. It will also be much less humid with highs in the middle to upper 80s.
Mostly sunny skies return for Tuesday and Wednesday. It will also be much more comfortable with highs in the middle to upper 80s.
Temperatures will warm as we head towards the end of the work week and we could see a few storms Friday and Saturday.
