StormTracker8: Possible Record Warmth Today & Tomorrow

StormTracker8: Possible Record Warmth Today & Tomorrow

Richmond, Va. (WRIC) -- We have a warm day ahead with highs in the low 80s. We have a chance to break the record high for March 10. The current record is 81°, which was recorded back in 2006. If we don't break or tie the record, we sure will come close!

Tomorrow we have a chance to break the record high for March 11. If we reach 83° or above, we will break tomorrow's record! Time will tell!

We could see a few showers tomorrow, but our better rain chances will pop up on Thursday morning after midnight. A cold front will pass through and bring rain chances from early Thursday morning through Thursday afternoon.

High temperatures will likely occur just after midnight, so temperatures will fall into the 50s for most of the afternoon, and upper 40s for the evening.

Friday morning our lows will take a dive, and we'll be back to the low 30s. Friday won't be a bad day, thought - highs will still be near 60°!

This weekend is looking nice, with highs in the 60s for Saturday and 70s on Sunday.

We have another cold front forecast to pass through on Monday, and there is a chance the rain associated with it could begin on Sunday evening, so we'll be keeping an eye on the timing. After next week's cold front, temperatures are looking to fall back to below normal, unfortunately. Highs could be in the 40s and lows below freezing!
