Streetlights to go dark in Richmond’s Southside Monday night due to planned repairs

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Streetlights in some neighborhoods in Richmond's Southside will be without power on Monday night for planned repairs.

According to the City of Richmond, streetlights in some neighborhoods in the city's Southside will go dark at 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, as Dominion Energy conducts planned repairs in the area.

The city said streetlights will be without power for a few hours in order for the repairs to be completed. The outage is expected to last two to four hours.

Lane closures on roads will begin at around 10 p.m. on Monday.

The city's Streetlight Division will reportedly have a team on site to make sure all power to the streetlights is restored.
