Suspect allegedly robs Albemarle County convenience store
ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A suspect allegedly robbed a convenience store while holding a gun in Albemarle County Monday evening, prompting an investigation by police. At 8:50 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, officers with the Albemarle County Police Department were dispatched to The Trading Post, a convenience store attached to a gas station located at 3017 Monacan Trail Road in the North Garden area of the county for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. Police said the suspect entered the store and took out a gun while demanding cash. The suspect was reportedly last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black gloves and a black face mask. The suspect left on foot in a unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to officials. No one was injured in the robbery.
