Sussex County shelter dog helps to rescue runaway dog

SUSSEX COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Ruffles, a Sussex County Animal Services shelter dog helped to rescue a runaway dog that had escaped from his owner. According to the shelter, staff were faced with a challenging situation when a dog had escaped from his owner and began running loose. The dog refused to come close to staff, which caused concern for his safety. Then, '"Officer Ruffles," the shelter dog enlisted to help, was able to lure the runaway dog with her friendly nature.
