RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Valentine's Day weather is looking good for the Richmond area this year, with sunny skies and highs near 45 degrees. But we haven't always been so lucky...

The coldest Valentine’s Day in Richmond's recorded history was in 2016 when we saw 27 degrees for a high temperature.

As for the warmest Valentine’s Day, records indicate it was back in 1949 when we saw a high temperature of 79 degrees -- very balmy conditions.

As for the snowiest Valentine’s Days for Richmond, I found that back in 1965 the city saw 6.4 inches of snowfall that year.

Finally, we move onto the wettest Valentine’s Day for our area and, according to the data, we saw just under an inch and a half of rainfall, with 1.41 inches falling on Valentine’s Day 1984.
