Unsolved homicide: Chesterfield police seek public’s help in solving 14-year-old murder case

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Chesterfield County Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in solving a homicide investigation from 14 years ago.

Chesterfield Police is asking for help in solving the murder of James Patrick Mosley.

On Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, a little after 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the Bridget Court area of North Chesterfield.

According to police, once officers arrived on the scene, they located Mosley down with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of his townhome--Mosley died on the scene.

The Chesterfield County Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in solving a homicide investigation from 14 years ago.

Law enforcement said witnesses reported seeing a black male wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt in the area during the same time as the shooting.

Witnesses also reported that he was seen leaving the area in a dark-colored vehicle at a high speed.
