Flooding spots remain in Prince George County Tuesday morning

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Many flooding spots have remained in areas of Prince George County in the morning on Tuesday following rainfall.

According to Prince George County Fire and EMS, as of 7:55 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, the following areas were flooded:

  • 10000 block of Walton Lake
  • 8000 block Robin Road
  • West Quaker Road
  • Baxter Road
  • County Drive near the Prince George County Animal Shelter
  • Prince George Drive at Pine Ridge
  • Oaklawn Boulevard at Petersburg line
  • Intersection of Pumphouse Road and Loving Union Road
  • Intersection of James River Drive and Ruffin Road
  • Golf Course Road

‘Several water rescues’ underway as Petersburg hit with flash floods

Drivers were asked to avoid those areas if water remained on roadways when traveling.
