Man injured after being shot on Whitcomb Street in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was injured after police say he was shot on Whitcomb Street in Richmond on Wednesday afternoon.

At 3:19 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 2600 block of Whitcomb Street for a report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound.

He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Officers continue to investigate the shooting.
