Share holiday joy with Adopt-A-Soldier event benefiting those at Fort-Gregg Adams
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Those looking to spread some holiday cheer to soldiers stationed at Fort Gregg-Adams can do so through the city of Petersburg's Adopt-A-Soldier program. According to the city, this program -- sponsored by the Capital Region Military Alliance (CaRMA-VA) -- benefits soldiers stationed at the fort who cannot go home for the holidays. To help them feel a little less alone, those interested can sign up to host a holiday meal for one or more such soldiers. This meal can be breakfast, lunch or dinner, and it can be hosted between Dec. 22 and Dec. 30. There are about 150 slots available.
