StormTracker8: Rain/Snow showers Friday, then more arctic air
Richmond, Va. (WRIC) -- Clear skies so be with us for this evening, but a few clouds will move in doing the overnight hours and it will be a cold night with lows in the upper teens.
Clouds will increase throughout the day on Friday and during the afternoon we could have a couple of rain showers developing but as we get colder toward the evening hours those rain showers will change over to snow showers. Little to no accumulation should be expected with those snow showers.
Saturday will be a sunny day, but it will be windy and very cold with highs 25 to 30 and when you factor in the wind, wind chills will be in the single digits to lower teens throughout the day. The wind could easily range from 25 to 35 mph with some higher gusts.

Sunday will also be a cold day with highs around 32 under sunny skies.
Mostly sunny skies will be across Central Virginia for Monday, and it will be chilly with highs in the lower 40s.
Finally, we will get back to normal by Tuesday with highs in the upper 40s to near 50 under partly sunny skies.
A weak weather system will approach the region on Wednesday, bringing us the risk of rain showers with highs near 50.
That system will be slow to depart on Thursday so we will stay with mostly cloudy skies, and our high temperatures will again be around 50. Looking ahead to next Friday we should see partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 40s.
